Ready, Steady, Doodle! Sevenoaks pupils take part in Spring Learning Challenge
Pupils from Sevenoaks Preparatory School have been celebrating their success after taking part in a nationwide Maths Challenge.
34 children received awards following their participation in the DoodleLearning Spring Challenge. The popular digital learning event is celebrating its most successful year yet, after more than 16,000 children across the UK took part.
The DoodleLearning Spring Challenge helps to keep children motivated by encouraging them to practise Maths and English for just a few minutes each day, using Doodle’s innovative learning apps. Part of the Discovery Education family of services, DoodleMaths and DoodleEnglish are designed to be used little and often, both at home and in the classroom. Using the latest advances in educational technology, the apps transform learning into a fun, rewarding adventure and boost children’s confidence.
Pupils from over 600 primary schools took part in this year’s challenge, by using DoodleMaths and DoodleEnglish to achieve personalised learning goals throughout the month of April. Children who completed the challenge were rewarded with special certificates and badges that were presented by their teachers in school this week.

“Since using DoodleMaths we’ve noticed a huge difference in our children’s mathematical fluency, recall and confidence. They love the in-app rewards and the seasonal challenges encourage them to Doodle during school holidays. The children were so enthused by the ‘Spring Challenge’ and couldn’t wait to receive their certificates and pin badges to reward their efforts. They’re already excited for the next challenge and the buzz in the playground after they were awarded their badges was amazing!”
