WORLD KINDNESS DAY 2023: NEW SOCIAL ACTION WEBSITE HELPS KIDS TO MAKE THE WORLD A KINDER PLACE
As World Kindness Day (13th November) approaches, teachers and parents across the UK are being encouraged to sign up to a new, free social action platform, to inspire the next generation of change-makers.
SuperKind is an award-winning education and social action website designed to educate, inspire and empower young people to be kind, take action and make a difference. Winner of Digital Innovation of the Year at the 2023 Third Sector Awards, the social enterprise website is also the world’s first safe fundraising platform for children, with built-in technology to protect their data and security.
SuperKind was created by husband and wife Keren Mitchell and Natasha Freeman, who were inspired by their own children taking action to tackle big issues that mattered to them. They decided to build a platform to help all young people get involved with social change. The result was SuperKind – a one-stop charity and social action shop for children who want to make a difference in the world.
Children can use SuperKind to raise money for more than 30,000 charities and good causes, while learning about how to campaign for change. The free-to-use platform provides schools with a range of age-appropriate teaching resources including lesson plans, videos and interactives, making it easier than ever for teachers to integrate social action into the curriculum.
SuperKind partners with more than 40 charities around the world, including Amnesty International, WWF, Shelter and Trussell Trust and the platform is already being used in schools across the UK.

SuperKind’s teaching resources were developed in partnership with educators and academics to be child-friendly and accessible, and cover the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as important problems in the world today such as climate change and the cost of living crisis. SuperKind also provides ideas, examples and inspiring change-maker case studies showing children the next steps they can take to tackle the issues they have learnt about.
