A Hampshire multi-academy trust has been announced as a silver winner in the Pearson National Teaching Awards for its outstanding contribution to education across the south.

HISP multi-academy trust (MAT) has been awarded silver in the ‘Impact through Partnership’ category. The trust has been awarded this accolade for its commitment to delivering excellent opportunities for its children and teachers.

The multi-academy trust was recognised for impactful collaboration with its schools, teaching hubs such as the Solent Maths Hub, and external partnerships across the UK.

Su said: “Everything we do at HISP is driven by collaboration, teamwork and partnership and this award is a reflection of that. I would like to say a massive thank you and congratulations to my whole team, our schools and our external partners.”

Michael Morpurgo, author, former Children’s Laureate, and President of the Teaching Awards Trust, said: “I am inspired by the devotion of teachers and the huge impact they have on the lives of the young people they tutor, support, encourage and motivate day in and day out.

“The valuable role they play both inside and outside the classroom has inspired generations of young people across the country to achieve their potential.  I am delighted to congratulate the winners of the 2023 Awards and thank them all for the amazing contributions they have made to our communities.”

The gold winner will be announced and celebrated at a gala ceremony in London on 25th November which will be televised on the BBC. Select silver winners will also be showcased on The One Show.
