City Year UK is a youth and education charity which empowers 18-25 year olds to tackle educational inequality through a year of full-time volunteering in schools. We are passionate about working with teachers and schools to contribute to joyful, responsive and welcoming learning environments where all pupils can thrive.

Acting as student success coaches, our inspirational full-time volunteers are trained to integrate social and emotional learning with academic tutoring. They complement the work of teachers and become an integral and flexible part of everyday school life for an entire year. Our mentors are passionate about tackling educational inequality, so during their City Year, they will support students alongside staff so that every pupil has a chance of reaching their full potential.
