Teaching One-Pagers: Evidence-informed summaries for busy educational professionals by Jamie Clark. Published 24/05/2024.
Most teachers are time-poor and too busy to engage with educational research to improve their classroom instruction. Teaching One-Pagers by Jamie Clark, published by John Catt Educational, is a collection of ultra-concise summaries about good teaching practices and how educators can implement them proactively.
Designed to aid one of the biggest blockers to educator professional development, workload and time, this practical volume presents more than 55 evidence-informed one-pagers that help educators reflect on their practice, build pedagogical knowledge, and prompt professional conversations with colleagues. Allowing educators to engage with educational research, in manageable portions, to improve their classroom instruction.
Split into 3 sections with subsequent sub-sections, each page contains helpful illustrations and diagrams as well as an easy-to-follow structure of “what”, “why” and “how”.
Commenting on his new book, Jamie Clark said: “I’m delighted to finally get this resource into the hands of fellow educators. There’s a massive appetite for one-pagers because they distil important research into an accessible format and can be easily implemented to support all types of school CPD. I hope this book empowers busy, information-hungry teachers to reflect, build knowledge, and improve their classroom practice.”
