NATIONAL THEATRE – HOW TO TALK ABOUT PLAYS

3 – 24 February                                                           Clore Learning Centre, National Theatre

A 4-part course aimed at those aged between 16 and 21 years old will commence at the National Theatre on Wednesday 3 February.

How do you watch a theatre show and then talk about it? What is theatre criticism? Is there a difference between argument and opinion?

Led by journalist Matt Truman, this 4-part course will explore ways to watch, talk and write about theatre; from blogging to reviews to discussions with your mates.  Aimed at those interested in theatre and talking about it afterwards, bloggers who want to find a voice amongst the chatter or aspiring critics or journalists, course members have the opportunity to watch performances at the National Theatre and venues around London with a view to discussing them afterwards.

Course dates

Wednesday 3, 10, 17 & 24 February from 6 – 9pm

Price for the complete course – £40 (Bursaries are available)
